HOW MUCH WILL MY PROJECT COST? In our experience and with current material and labor pricing, you can expect to invest the following costs per project: Guest Bathrooms | $40k - $80k Master Bathrooms | $75k - $125k Full Kitchen Remodels | $100k - $200k Whole Home Renovations | $250k - $750k Casita’s Ground Up | $250k - $750k Custom Trim / Fireplace Walls $20k - $75k To provide a more accurate answer, we would need a complete set of pre-construction documents to evaluate. Each project is different and includes many variables to consider. SQFT of project, quality of preexisting conditions, scope of remodel, design, material selections, project access, working timeline etc.

WHEN TO BRING IN THE REMODELING CONTACTOR? You should bring your remodeling contractor in at the beginning stages of project planning. Your builder can help guide the architect, engineers and designers to stay within your desired project investment.

WHAT SHOULD I CONSIDER WHEN INTERVIEWING CONTRACTORS? Since Texas does not require general contractors to hold contractor licenses, unqualified individuals can claim to know what they are doing with little to no experience. Make sure that you speak to previous clients, ask for proof of insurance and perform online searches for their company name and the owner's name. How long have they been in business? Do they have any active lawsuits you can find?

ARE YOU LICENSED & INSURED? Outland Construction is Fully Insured. Based on project scope, we will also discuss the addition of Builders Risk Insurance as needed. General Contractors are not required to hold contractor licenses in the State of Texas.

WHAT DOES THE START UP PROCESS LOOK LIKE? Step One Discovery Call – 15 Minutes. Evaluate project scope. Determine feasibility in relation to investment allocation. Identify existing project phase and any pre-construction needs. Step Two Based on the above discovery, we will determine if we recommend that you engage Outland for a On-Site Construction Consult. This service will be to acquire more information and provide construction consulting to identify all of your project needs. If we determine that you are ready to move forward with design, we can connect you with one of our qualified industry partners in Architecture and Design. Step Three If you have all the project details, architectural plans and design selections and are ready to proceed with pricing, we will provide you with a proposal to provide an accurate project estimate.

When you partner with Outland and pay for our services - you receive our full attention. We evaluate your project as if it were a personal project of ours and really dive into all the details and prospective challenges. You will be provided with an accurate pre-liminary estimate range and honest feedback about the feasibility of your project. We provide you with a range because in remodels, you cannot see what constraints lie ahead before demo is performed and we want to make sure that you are fully prepared for any potential unknowns.
